Here are a few tips to keep your projector running the most efficiently.
Do..
- Allow plenty of room around the unit for airflow.
- Shut the projector off if you will not be using it within 15-‐30 minutes of thenext activity.
- Use the A/V Mute button if you do not want the projector shown up on the screen, but will be using it shortly.
- For Epson projectors, locate the warranty card (looks like a credit card) that came with the unit. The Computer Support Specialist will need this to call the manufacturer if your projector has a problem.
- Shut the lens cover over the weekend, over breaks, and summer.
Don't..
- Switch lamp on/off in short cycles (e.g., 5 minutes on, 5 minutes off.)
- Bump the projector when it’s operating.
- Move the projector during operation.
- Allow the projector to become overheated.
- Set anything on top of a projector or cover a projector while in use.
- Shut the lens cover while the projector is on. (Except Epson projectors when the lens cover is labeled A/V Mute: in this case, use as A/V Mute button.)
